Introduction:

Dunclyde is a creative agency with roots in mighty Scotland, and leafy palms in sunny California! We specialize in strategy driven branding and website design (with Webflow). Day to day, we create brand identities and award-winning web experiences for a wide scope of ambitious clients.

We are a small, highly ambitious team looking for a fellow self-starter to join us in our growth. The ideal person will be super positive, highly motivated, energetic, and adaptable. At Dunclyde we leave our egos (not Eggos®) at the door, so everyone welcomes feedback and input from everyone else on the team, regardless of title.

You should have a super creative design portfolio, and experience developing and working within brand parameters. The ideal candidate will also have experience (or enthusiasm to learn) building clean and functional websites in Webflow.

“The difference between something good, and something great, is attention to detail.”

Please note this is an optionally remote position, but you must be US-based and legally allowed to work in the US.

Job description:

As a digital designer at Dunclyde, you will help design and build creative solutions. Working as a team we collaborate on the projects we build. Some projects will have you picking up an established art direction and building on it, while others will require you to develop a fresh art direction drawing from our strategy and research. This will give you the opportunity to build up a portfolio of work that is all your own.

You will be responsible for three key functions:

  1. Creating moodboards and developing creative concepts for brand and web projects
  2. Designing website mockups, UI/UX
  3. Internal design work

Your duties would include:

  • Creating moodboards in Figma to establish creative direction for projects
  • Designing website mockups in Figma, or Adobe Ai/XD including light illustration, typesetting and layout, UI and UX
  • Building websites on the no-code platform Webflow
  • Maintaining and building upon our internal Dunclyde design style

What we can do for you:

  • We work collaboratively on all projects, so your creative work will be guided by experienced designers .
  • We are a certified Webflow parter, and we believe Webflow is the future. We will teach you Webflow, and how to design within the context of the web.
  • We've got a super cool work space in Culver City with outdoor working space to get your creative on.

Requirements:

  • A portfolio showcasing a strong foundational creative ability, and the ability to develop concepts out to polished final works
  • Highly competent in Figma and the Adobe Creative Suite
  • Willingness to learn Webflow, a no-code web building tool
  • Very keen eye for detail
  • Very comfortable and familiar working in MacOS

Nice-to-haves:

  • Experience building websites in Webflow
  • Strong illustration ability

If you have that special spirit that says “give me a challenge, and I’ll meet it with joy” then we would love to hear from you!
