Introduction:

Dunclyde is a creative agency with roots in mighty Scotland, and sprouting palms in sunny California! We specialize in strategy driven branding and website design (with Webflow). Day to day, we create brand identities and award-winning web experiences for a wide scope of awesome clients.

We are a small, highly ambitious team looking for a fellow self-starter to join us in our growth. The ideal person will be super positive, highly motivated, energetic, and adaptable. At Dunclyde we leave our egos (but not our Eggos®) at the door, so everyone welcomes feedback and input from everyone else on the team, regardless of title.

You should have a super creative design portfolio, and experience working within brand parameters. The ideal candidate will also have experience building clean (classes with proper names y'know) and functional websites in Webflow.

Dunclyde is currently growing, and our culture is human-centric and we love and nurture our staff. We promote from within, so we see this as an opportunity for you to grow with the agency and become part of the foundational team as one of our first designer hires.

“The difference between something good, and something great, is attention to detail.”

Please note this is a remote position, but you must be US-based and legally allowed to work in the US.

Job description:

As a digital designer at Dunclyde, you will help design and build creative solutions. Working as a team we collaborate on the projects we build. Some projects will have you picking up an established art direction and building on it, while others will require you to develop a fresh art direction drawing from our strategy and research. This will give you the opportunity to build up a portfolio of work that is all your own.

You will be responsible for these key functions:

  1. Developing super fresh art direction
  2. Creating moodboards and developing creative concepts for branding and web projects
  3. Designing website wireframes and mockups, applying good UI/UX principles
  4. Building the awesome sites you design in Webflow

Your duties would include:

  • Creating moodboards in Figma to establish creative direction for projects
  • Designing website mockups in Figma, or Adobe Ai/XD including light illustration, typesetting and layout, UI and UX
  • Building websites on Webflow
  • Maintaining and building upon our internal Dunclyde design style

Requirements:

  • A portfolio showcasing a strong foundational creative ability, and the ability to develop concepts out to polished final works
  • 3 years’ experience in a creative design position
  • Highly competent in Figma and the Adobe Creative Suite
  • Experience in Webflow, with at least two example portfolio sites
  • Very keen eye for detail
  • Very comfortable and familiar working in MacOS

Nice-to-haves:

  • Javascript & Jquery knowledge
  • Strong illustration ability

If you have that special spirit that says “give me a challenge, and I’ll meet it with joy” then we would love to hear from you!
